Meet our Teachers 
A dance career that has spanned over fifty-four years, Carol L. Dorfmeyer-Huster is Owner and Artistic Director of the Dance Centre of Northwest Ohio. 
She began her studies when she was a young girl studying ballet, jazz and tap dancing.  As her love and studying became the center of her life, she began performing in the Toledo area and Northwest Ohio with other dancers from her studio.  They competed in several dance competitions with the Dance Masters of Michigan and Ohio Chapters including National competitions in New Orleans and New York.
A graduate of the University of Toledo, she holds a Bachelors Degree in Education, Public Affairs and Community Services and an Associate Degree in Medical Technology.  Academically, she was pursuing a career in the medical profession but she still had thoughts of dancing.  During her college tenure, she continued teaching and studying dance, attending workshops, conventions and summer intensives studying with internationally known dance masters.  She spent a summer at the
Gus Giordano’s Jazz Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Carol was a member of the University of Toledo Varsity Singers for two years, singing and dancing throughout Northwest Ohio including a recruiting tour for the university to Northeastern Ohio.  She has choreographed for high school musicals, swing choirs and community theater; her credits include, “Hello Dolly,” “Damn Yankees,” “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Anything Goes.”  She has also adjudicated dance and cheerleading competitions, dance companies and was the coach for the Central Catholic “Irish Dance Team.”
She was Artistic Director of the Performing Arts School of Metropolitan Toledo for three years and implemented and wrote the academic dance program for Central Catholic High School where she taught for three years. 
For the past 34 years she has dedicated her professional career to the Dance Centre/The Wauseon Dance Academy teaching children from all over Northwest Ohio. 
Melissa Noe graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Education.  She started her journey in dance when she was a young child.  Mrs. Noe has studied tap, jazz, “Hip-Hop” and the Cecchetti Method of Classical Ballet for over 30 years.
As a Teacher Member of the Cecchetti Council of America, she currently holds Cecchetti exam certifications in Student Grades I-VI, Teacher Grades I-IV and is studying to take the Teacher Grade V exam to become an Associate Member.  Mrs. Noe was a member of Romeo Civic Ballet Company under the direction of Mary Sherman for many years.  She has also been a member of the Bowling Green State University Dance Alliance and Dance Ensemble.  
During Her performance career she has danced in many ballets including:  The Nutcracker with the Macomb Symphony Orchestra, Paquita, Coppelia, Swan Lake, Pas de Quatre and Les Sylphides.  She has also taken part in multiple dance intensives, workshops and college dance festivals in major cities around the United States.  She has studied with internationally known master teachers and choreographers from Spain, Russia, England and from around the world.
As a dance teacher, Mrs. Noe has taught all over the Northwest Ohio and Michigan areas. This includes being a Dance Director at The Performing Arts School of Metropolitan Toledo and Toledo Opera Summer camps.  She has also adjudicated cheerleading, dance teams and ballet companies. 
There is a strong belief in continuing education to help her be the best teacher she can be.  Mrs. Noe is the Associate Director at The Dance Centre of Northwest Ohio. She has been a part of The Dance Centre for fifteen years.
